Warren was born(p) on April 24, 1905 in Guthrie Kentucky, around the time violence was high, due to the Black Patch Tobacco wars centered there. Warren was the oldest of common chord children; others being Mary, the middle child, and Thomas, the youngest child. His mother was Anna Ruth Penn Warren, a tiny town school teacher.
